UASC to Raise Rates on North Europe to Asia, India Trade Lanes

United Arab Shipping Company will raise its rates on trades from North Europe to Asia and the Indian subcontinent, starting May 1. The planned increase will be $150 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot container. The move follows a $100 per TEU rate hike UASC imposed on same routes as of April 1. The Subcontinent region includes ports in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.                                                   The Journal of Commerce Online
