Scandinavia Airlines (SAS) has announced the resumption of scheduled flights between Israel and Scandinavia after nearly 10 years of service suspension. The flight resumption is in line with SAS’s strategy of strengthening its product, offering to both business and leisure passengers. The Copenhagen-Tel Aviv route will reopen on 4 June, with a weekly flight. SAS will operate the route by an Airbus 319, which can accommodate 141 passengers, or an Airbus 321, which can seat 198. Second weekly flight will be operating from 12th July 2012 to 30th August 2012. In November, SAS will increase its flights to three a week, including follow-on flights from Copenhagen to other destinations in Scandinavia, the Baltic states, the Far East and North America.
