Middle Eastern carrier Emirates Shipping Line will raise its rates on cargo moving on its Far East and intra-Asia services, starting May 15.
On shipments from the Far East and Southeast Asia to East Africa, the ocean carrier will apply an increase of $250 per 20-foot equivalent unit.
From the Far East and Southeast Asia to the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East, rates will go up by $300 per TEU.
The move follows similar rate hike notices Emirates issued in March and April on the same trade routes.
The subcontinent region includes ports in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
