RUSSIAN air cargo carrier AirBridge Cargo has unveiled a new service from Zhengzhou to Moscow and Chicago, which is the first all-cargo service from Zhengzhou to the US, Xinhua reports.
The new service uses Boeing 747-400 freighter that is able to carry up to 110 tonnes and offers three flights a week on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. On Thursdays and Saturdays, the flight arrives at Zhengzhou at 0520 hrs and leaves at 0820 hrs. On Sundays, the flight reaches Zhengzhou at 0720 hrs and takes off again at 1020 hrs.
Besides the new line, AirBridge Cargo is also operating another all-cargo line from Zhengzhou, the Zhengzhou-Moscow-Amsterdam service.
In addition to AirBridge, a number of other carriers also operate airfreight service from Zhengzhou. Cathay Pacific is operating a service to Hong Kong. Yangtze River Express, an airfreight subsidiary of Hainan Airlines Group, the largest private air carriers in China, is operating one from Zhengzhou via Luxembourg to Prague, one to Hong Kong and one via Hangzhou to Xiamen. China Postal Airlines is operating one from Hohhot and another from Shijiazhuang via Zhengzhou to Nanjing. The largest domestic express company SF Express is operating one from Zhengzhou via Wuhan to Shenzhen.
