CK Line is launching a new intra-Asia container shipping service, the "VTS", which links Vietnam to major ports in southeast Asia, in order to strengthen its services.
The port rotation of the VTS is Busan, Kwangyang, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong, Shekou and Xiamen.
The service is jointly operated with KMTC and Sinokor line, with the three partners each providing one 1,100-TEU vessel to run the service.
The maiden voyage is scheduled to arrive in Hong Kong on September 16."Through this service, CK Line can increase its market share in Hong Kong and Shekou, Shenzhen. Furthermore, CK Shipping agency' s Hong Kong office will be able to widen the service scope to the whole PRD [Pearl River Delta] region also." a statement from the shipping company said.
