Maersk Line said it will raise rates on the eastbound transpacific trade from Dec. 1.
The increases are $320 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container, $450 per 40-foot high-cube and $506 per 45-foot high cube container to U.S. West Coast ports.
To U.S. East Coast ports, the increases are $480 per 20-foot container, $600 per 40-foot container, $675 per 40-foot high-cube and $760 per 45-foot high cube container.
Maersk also said it plans to hike rates from the Far East to the east coast of South America over the next month. The increases are $500 per 20-foot container and $1,000 per 40-foot or 45-foot container from all Far East ports, excluding Taiwan, from Nov. 15. From Taiwan, the same increase goes into effect Dec. 1.
