Cosco Container Lines has announced a currency adjustment factor surcharge of 7 percent on top ocean freight for eastbound shipments from the Far East and the Indian subcontinent to Canada, effective from Jan. 1, 2013, to March 31, 2013.
The ocean carrier also announced Alameda Corridor charges of $23 per 20-foot container, $45 per 40-foot container and $51 per 45-foot container for both eastbound and westbound shipments via the Port of Long Beach between the Far East and the U.S., effective Jan. 1, 2013.
Additionally, Cosco is revising its fuel adjustment factor for the Far East to Middle East trades, for shipments between Jan. 1, 2013, and Jan. 31, 2013.
