Ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd will resume eastbound calls at Lisbon, Portugal, starting Jan. 13, as part of its Med Canada Service, which runs between Canada and the Mediterranean.

The eastbound call at the Portuguese capital was added in October but was suspended shortly thereafter because of a strike, which was recently called off.
This renewed call will improve the transit time from Montreal to Portugal to nine days, the company said in a written statement.
