Maersk Line will implement a general rate increase on its New Zealand to Australia trade lane, effective Feb. 1, 2013.
Rates will go up by $100 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot/45-foot/40-foot high cube/45-foot high cube dry container.
Separately, the carrier also reminded customers that a booking cancellation fee will be applied to dry bookings canceled, reduced or transferred within seven days of the vessel’s estimated time of arrival at any particular load port in Australia. The fee will be $100 per 20-foot container and 40-foot container, but it does not apply to refrigerated cargo.
