French authorities have reacted to snow and cancelled some flights at Paris Charles de Gaulle, the country's busiest airport, plus 20 per cent at Orly.
Flag carrier Air France said it will focus on operating its long-haul and 80 per cent of its medium-haul services.
In Germany, Lufthansa cancelled 186 flights, with its Frankfurt hub affected.
High winds and snow also caused delays at the UK's London Heathrow and London City.
On the rails, Eurostar slowed its operations in northern France, adding as much as 30 minutes to journey times, while train disruptions in the UK included cancellations on the Gatwick Express that connects London with the airport.
Other areas of the UK also are suffered snow-related delays on rail and road.
