GERMANY's Hapag-Lloyd is to launch the fourth of ten 13,200 TEU ships, the Hong Kong Express, on Loop 5 of its G6 Alliance Asia-Europe following delivery by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).
The 10 neo-panamax ships were ordered since it upgraded an earlier order of six 8,750 TEU on delivery since February 2008 built by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) of which the remaining four were direct orders.
The remaining vessels are to be delivered over a 16 month period with the final vessel on line for fourth quarter 2013, reports Alphaliner.
