Liberty Global Logistics LLC, a U.S.-based car/truck carrier, will begin monthly service to the Middle East from Providence, R.I., beginning July 27.
Vessels will call ports in Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Pakistan, India, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, and Kuwait.
The initial sailing will carry 300 used vehicles, but Ports America, which will prepare and load the cars onboard Liberty Global vessels, said the business is expected to grow rapidly into a fortnightly service within a year based upon targeted cargo support and realized operational efficiencies.
