Evergreen slaps GRI on transatlantic boxes

Evergreen Line has announced a transatlantic general rate increase (GRI) on all commodities both eastbound and westbound. The increases will be effective from October 1. For transatlantic westbound, the GRI will be US$150 for a 20-foot container and $250 for a 40-foot unit. The eastbound GRI will be $150 for a 20- foot container and $200 for all 40-foot unit, including 40' high-cube container and 40' high-cube reefer container.   Cargonews Asia
