Saudia Cargo is pushing more capacity into its network, adding two new freighter flights per week between Nairobi and Amsterdam, and one additional flight per week on services from Brussels to Guangzhou and Dhanka.
The carrier is also adding two weekly flights from Manston, Kent, and is beefing up routes from other European destinations to Saudi Arabia.
On the Dhanka-Brussels and Nairobi-Amsterdam routes, the MD-11 freighters currently servicing those cities will be replaced by Boeing 747-400 freighters.
Passenger network changes, which include more frequencies along with equipment upgrades, will also boost cargo capacity.
“The expansion of our passenger network in Toronto and the capacity growth of our bellies in Paris, Jakarta, Casablanca and Johannesburg will help to strengthen our global cargo network,” Peter Scholten, vice president of commercial at Saudia Cargo, said in a statemet.
