DRAGONAIR says it will operate 10 weekly flights between Hong Kong and Penang, Malaysia, starting from March 30, subject to government approval.
Penang will become the Hong Kong-based airline's second destination in Malaysia as it currently operates daily service to Kota Kinabalu in Borneo.
Airbus A330-300 aircraft will operate the Penang service which is will depart daily from Hong Kong in the afternoon, with additional flights to Penang Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, a company statement said.
In addition, sister airline Cathay Pacific will maintain its four daily flights between Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. Both airlines combined will operate a total of 45 weekly flights to Malaysia.
