THE shipping line calling China's Huichun, Russia's Zarubino and South Korea's Sokcho launched last March ran a total of 52 sailings in 2013, moved 731 containers and 7,393 passengers, according to Xinhua.
The 283 containers were imports and 448 were exports. Inbound passengers coming into China were came to 1,880, numbers of outbound ones stood at 5,513. The service deploys a ship that can carry 182 containers and 750 passengers.
The shipping service, that skirts the length of the North Korean east coast, boosted imports of the Korean-made small commodities into northeastern China and Russian Far East, and exports of agricultural products in northeastern China to Korea. It also boosted tourism in the Sea of Japan region.
