CAIRO-BASED EgyptAir has signed a contract with Airbus to buy five A330-200 wide-body aircraft with an option for an additional three, a statement issued by the aircraft manufacturer said.
EgyptAir Holding Company chairman, Atef Abd El Hamid, said with this
latest fleet expansion the company will be able to continue its route network growth, which at present covers 60 international destinations in over 43 countries.
EgyptAir currently serves countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America as well as domestic routes with over 560 flights departing from Cairo every week.
