Maersk Revises ME3 Service

Maersk Line is reorganizing the eastbound port rotation of its Europe-Middle East 3 (ME3) Service connecting India, the Middle East and Europe, effective this month.

The changes include a new port call at Izmir, Turkey, and suspension of an existing call at Port Said, Egypt.

The revised ME3 port coverage will be as follows: Pipavav, Hazira and Nhava Sheva (Jawaharlal Nehru), India; Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates; Salalah, Oman; Port Said; Mersin, Ambarli and Izmit Korfezi, Turkey; Novorossiysk, Russia; Izmit Korfezi, Ambarli, Izmir, Mersin; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Jebel Ali and back to Pipavav.

The last vessel to serve Port Said on the eastbound leg will be the Cathrine Rickmers, voyage 1315, scheduled to arrive Nov. 17. The first vessel to call Izmir under the new eastbound schedule will be the Maersk Wyoming, voyage 1315, arriving Nov. 21.

The weekly ME3 currently deploys seven vessels with capacities ranging from 4,200 to 5,000 20-foot-equivalent units.
