GLOBAL air cargo traffic increased one per cent year on year in 2013, the equivalent of 51 million tons of freight, according to the UN's International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
ICAO said Asia-Pacific was still the world's biggest air freight market with a 31 per cent share of global traffic, a 7.2 per cent year-on-year increase.
European air freight volumes were up 3.8 per cent while North America volume increased 2.2 per cent, said ICAO. The Middle East remained on top with a 12 per cent increase.
