Etihad to fly to Toronto

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is to start non-stop flights from its home base in Abu Dhabi to Toronto (Canada) in June.    The service will be operated by an ultra-long range Airbus A340-500, which offers considerable cargo capacity. Etihad Crystal Cargo’s general sales and services agent in Canada, Platinum Air Cargo, is expecting to double the total amount of cargo carried per month. The main goods currently transported to Canada are pharmaceuticals, computers and computer accessories, oil field equipment and garments. From Canada Etihad Crystal Cargo will tap into the perishables market.   Source:  International Transport Journal
