Logistics group protects island

Project cargo may not always be clean and green, but members of the international logistics solution provider Project Professionals Group (PPG) have teamed up to help protect the environment on the island of Phu Quoc in southern Vietnam.   Located in the Gulf of Thailand, Phu Quoc – also known as Pearl Island – is a popular tourism spot and renowned for its pristine beaches and tranquility.   PPG members Allfort (Japan) and Vantage Logistics (Vietnam) jointly handled the transportation of a mini-waste water treatment factory from Yokohama to Phu Quoc.   Following the success of the operation and trialling of the new system, a further five water treatment factories are planned with a total daily capacity of 200,000bcm.   Allfort has been appointed the environmental logistics partner to manage the transportation.   Aircargo Asia Pacific
