Intra-Asia carrier TS Lines said last week it plans to deploy six 2,546- to-3,100 TEU vessels to operate a Middle East service, the Hong Kong Shipping Gazette reported.
The larger intra-Asia carriers are increasingly looking to deep sea services to augment their revenue as global carriers hone in on their bread-and-butter intra-Asia territory.
Taiwan-based TS Lines' new service will have a 42-day sailing time with the following rotation: Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Port Kelang, Jebel Ali, Bandar Abbas, Penang, Port Kelang, Hong Kong and Qingdao.
