CSAV Group announced improvements on its services covering the East Coast of South America.
The ASAX Service linking ECSA with Asia and South Africa is being upgraded to 4.000-TEU vessels, including a fourth ship, with increased capacity for refrigerated containers.
The Marco Polo Service connecting East Coast South America with the Middle East and Africa will receive a fifth and sixth vessel in early December and January, also adding reefer capacity.
The Eurotlan Service linking ECSA with North Europe is being upgraded from vessels of 2,500 TEUs to 4,000 TEUs.
The Usatlan Service linking ECSA with the U.S. East Coast and Canada will be upgraded during the second and third quarter of 2009, with 2,500-TEU ships replacing 3,500-TEU vessels.
The Conosur Service with Libra linking the East and West Coasts of South America has been upgraded from 1,700 TEUs to 2,500 TEUs.
