Evergreen Line said it is reshuffling its services between the U.S. West Coast, Asia and Europe beginning in mid-December.
The Taiwanese carrier said that it would be dividing its existing nine-ship Asia-U.S. West Coast (AUS) butterfly service into its two constituent parts. The AUS leg currently covering south China will merge into Evergreen’s China-Europe Shuttle (CES) loop to form a new 13-ship U.S. West Coast-Europe-Asia pendulum service (dubbed UAE), while the north China portion of the AUS butterfly will now form a five-ship standalone loop to southern California, renamed CPS.
The new UAE service will have a westbound port rotation of Los Angeles, Oakland, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Suez Canal, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Thamesport, Zeebrugge, with an eastbound rotation of Rotterdam, Hamburg, Thamesport, Zeebrugge, Taranto, Port Said, Colombo, Tanjung Pelepas, Yantian, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Los Angeles, and Oakland.
Evergreen already has another long West Coast North America-Asia-Europe pendulum service, its 12-ship UAM loop, which connects the U.S. Pacific Northwest with Japan, Asia, Colombo and the West Mediterranean.
