Maersk Line in a trade advisory said it is temporarily suspending its FM5 Far East-Red Sea Service that currently covers China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
Instead, the Danish carrier will introduce a call at Aqaba, Jordan, on its AE3 service, while the rotation for its AE11 service will now include calls at Salalah, Oman, and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
"As a result of these changes, our transit times to Aqaba will improve significantly; from 18 to 15 days between Yantian and Aqaba, and 24 to 17 days between Ningbo and Aqaba" it stated.
The new AE3 rotation will be Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Pusan, Ningbo, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, and Aqaba.
The AE11 will now call Pusan, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Salalah, and Jeddah.
