Hanjin boosts rates in Asia/Europe, transatlantic

Hanjin Shipping said it is increasing freight rates of all services in Asia/Europe and transatlantic trades beginning April 1.   In the westbound direction, rates from the Far East and South East Asia to North Europe or the Mediterranean will increase $300 per TEU or $600 per FEU. Between the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to North Europe and the Mediterranean rates will rise $200 per TEU and $400 per FEU.   Eastbound from Europe and the Mediterranean to the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia and Far East, rates will increase $200 per TEU and $400 per FEU.   In the transatlantic the increases will be $150 per TEU and $225 per FEU westbound and $100 per TEU and $150 per FEU eastbound.   American Shipper
