Evergreen Line will continue to operate a Far East-Middle East loop as a standalone service after its partner on the loop, COSCO, left to join a similar OOCL-TSK Line service, according to AXS-Alphaliner.
The service, dubbed APG by Evergreen, previously linked Taiwan, South China and Southeast Asia to the Middle East, but Evergreen will now add calls to Qingdao, Shanghai and Ningbo, as well as an additional Middle East call at Dammam.
The revised rotation is Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Bandar Abbas, Singapore, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong and Qingdao.
With the added calls, the loop will now take seven weeks instead of six.
