Mediterranean Shipping Company has announced enhancements to the Golden Gate service.
Nine 5,040 TEU vessels will be deployed with the new port rotation of Busan > Shanghai > Ningbo > Hong Kong > Chiwan > Yantian > Singapore > Suez Canal Transit > New York > Savannah > Port Everglades > Freeport (Bahamas) > Panama Canal > Manzanillo (Mexico) > Busan.
These changes will provide improved transit times to New York which will now take only 21 days from Singapore, 25 days from Yantian, 26 days from Chiwan, 27 days from Hong Kong, 30 days from Ningbo, 31 days from Shanghai and 33 days from Busan.
All cargo initially routed via the Golden Gate Service to Manzanillo in Mexico West Coast will now be routed via the Andes service.
The first sailing for this upgraded Golden Gate Service will be the MSC Emma G924A departing Busan on June 6th.
