U.S.-Australasia lines seeking rate hike

Carrier members of the United States Australasia Discussion Agreement said they have adopted recommended rate increases on services from the United States to Australia and New Zealand.   The lines are calling for a general rate increase of $150 per TEU and $300 per FEU to apply on dry and refrigerated shipments moving from the United States to Australia and New Zealand, effective July 1.   Members of the discussion agreement are CMA-CGM, Hamburg Süd, Hapag-Lloyd, Marfret, Maersk Line and U.S. Lines.   American Shipper
