U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke met with Mongolia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Sikhbaatar Batbold on Monday in Washington to discuss the continued development of trade and economic relations between the countries.
They also discussed the importance of the fourth U.S.-Mongolia Business Forum held at the Commerce Department on Tuesday, and will focus on the energy sector, including coal mining and production, renewable energy, oil and gas, and nuclear energy.
Locke said the forum will bring together more than 100 American and Mongolian business officials to “explore potential business prospects and pave the way for future partnerships.
