With a large number of improvements, French ocean carrier CMA CGM is upgrading its Asia-Europe services, effective June 30.
The changes will result in 10 weekly services, all designated FAL. The carrier will call 26 direct loading ports in Asia and 10 direct ports of discharge in Europe with 260 direct port pairs.
“CMA CGM Group is eager to offer its customers an enhanced service quality and a unique port coverage without adding capacity to the market,” said Nicolas Sartini, senior vice president Asia Europe Lines. “Indeed, we have entered a number of new agreements allowing CMA CGM to provide its customers with the best transit times and the best possible coverage in Asia.”
FAL 1, with additional calls at Xiamen and Yantian (eastbound), will be 100 percent operated by CMA CGM vessels equipped with the latest environmental technologies. The rotation will be: Dalian, Xingang, Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Port Kelang, Tangiers, Southampton, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre, Malta, Khorfakkan, Yantian, Dalian.
FAL 2 will maintain its current rotation: Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Hong Kong, Port Kelang, Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Zeebrugge, Port Kelang, Ningbo. From mid-July, the service will resume Eastbound transit via Suez.
FAL 3 will use nine vessels of 8500/9500 TEUs. The rotation will be: Qingdao, Ningbo, Chiwan, Nansha, Yantian, Port Kelang, Malta, Le Havre, Dunkirk, Zeebrugge, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Southampton, Beirut, Jeddah, Port Kelang, Chiwan, Qingdao. The service will add a call at Chiwan on the Eastbound leg and new calling days in Qingdao and Ningbo in order to reduce transit times to Europe.
FAL7 will improve transit times into Rotterdam and Bremerhaven with the following rotation: Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Zeebrugge, Tangiers, Yantian, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Yantian, Algeciras, Rotterdam.
FAL 8 rotation will be: Southampton, Zeebrugge, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Fuqing, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Colombo, Southampton. This service will provide a unique opportunity for Fuqing, China, and improve transit times into Southampton and Zeebrugge.
FAL 9 will provide direct service from Laem Chabang, Thailand, to Europe in the following rotation: Zeebrugge, Felixstowe, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Algeciras, Jeddah, Colombo, Port Kelang, Singapore, Laem Chabang, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Colombo, Zeebrugge.
FAL 10 will provide competitive transit times into Felixstowe, UK, with the following rotation: Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Hong Kong, Qingdao.
FAL 11 adds calls at Hakata, Japan, Kwangyang and Pusan, South Korea on the following rotation: Hakata, Kwangyang, Pusan, Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Thames, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Hakata.
FAL 12 provides calls in four Japanese ports with a new Westbound call in Tangiers on the following rotation: Rotterdam, Hamburg, Le Havre, Tangiers, Jeddah, Singapore, Yantian, Hong Kong, Kobe, Nagoya, Shimizu, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Tangiers, Rotterdam.
FAL 15 provides two calls in Taiwan and South India via Colombo on the following rotation: Kaohsiung, Ningbo, Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Tarente, Le Havre, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Thames, Colombo, Tanjung Pelepas, Kaohsiung.
