CMA CGM hikes Europe/Indian Subcontinent rates

CMA CGM said it is raising rates on shipments in both directions between Europe and the Indian Subcontinent.   From Sept. 1, westbound rates from India and Pakistan to Northern Europe and Mediterranean ports will increase $250 per TEU and $400 per FEU and 40-foot high-cube container. The line is also assessing a $150 per TEU overweight surcharge for containers weighing more than 23 tons, including tare.   Eastbound, from Europe and the Mediterranean to India and Pakistan, rates will rise $100 per TEU and $200 per FEU and 40-foot high cube container.   American Shipper
