Evergreen raises Europe to Asia rates

Ocean carrier Evergreen Line said it is raising rates on services from northern Europe and the Mediterranean to the Far East, including Australia, and the Indian Subcontinent-Middle East.   Rates will increase $100 per container from Europe to the Far East, and $150 per container from Europe to the Indian Subcontinent-Middle East regions. From the Mediterranean to the Far East and Indian Subcontinent-Middle East, rates will also rise by $150 per container.   The rate hikes are effective Oct. 1 and apply to all cargo and commodities, including reefers and special equipment.    American Shipper
