OOCL joined other major carriers in a general rate increase that will apply to all dry shipments from the United States to Hong Kong, Macau and South China.
Effective Dec. 1, rates for all dry shipments from the ports of Los Angeles or Long Beach will increase $80 per 20-foot equivalent unit and $100 per 40-foot or 45-foot container.
Rates from other U.S. West Coast ports and U.S. East Coast or Gulf ports and inland points via U.S. West Coast will increase $120 per TEU and $150 per FEU.
