EVA Air Cargo has reintroduced its freighter service to Vienna, operating a Boeing 747-400F on a Taipei-Delhi-Vienna route and a Vienna-Brussels-Delhi-Taipei route on the return to Asia.
The dedicated cargo flights are unloaded and reloaded at the Vienna Airport within two hours.
With these two flights every week, EVA provides the freighter and logistics markets in Austria and neighbouring Central and Eastern European countries a total of between 36 and 60 additional tons of air cargo capacity.
The carrier continues to provide between 24 and 36 tons of belly space a week on its three passenger flights.
EVA provides a volume of 600 cubic metres on each Taipei-Delhi-Vienna-Brussels-Delhi-Taipei flight, accommodating up to 32 pallets on the main deck and either nine pallets or thirty containers on the lower deck.
In addition to Vienna, EVA's cargo services to/from Europe include one flight a week to London, three a week to Brussels and two a week to Frankfurt. The carrier serves all of its European routes with B747-400 freighters, occasionally using an MD-11 cargo aircraft for lift to London.
