For 3 days this December, the Chinese maritime community will converge in the heart of China, at the Pearl River Delta’s premier international exhibition, INMEX China 2010. The show has garnered full endorsements from a wide cross section of the local and international maritime community as well as strong exhibitor representation.
INMEX China 2010 will be held from 8 – 10 December 2010 in Guangzhou, the commercial capital of the region, at the China Import & Export Fair, Pazhou Complex (Pazhou HallI). This well recognized trade exhibition is very timely as it takes advantage of China’s undisputed, and recently promoted, standing as the world’s largest shipbuilder in all key measures including ship deliveries, deadweight and gross tonnage (Lloyd’s List July 21, 2010).
This exhibition will feature vital sectors including ship building, ship repairs, marine services and engineering, offshore engineering, ports and port development. And its location at Guangzhou has been strategically chosen as it is the centre of the Pearl River Delta, home of the largest ports of the world comprising 8,051 freshwater ports and 1,899 seaports.
This year, INMEX China 2010 is expected to bring together more than 10,000 industry players from over 20 countries to Guangzhou, one of the most essential manufacturing bases in the world and one of China’s main export trade centers. This trade exhibition will be host to a truly international industry representation from countries and regions including Germany, Japan, Korea, Norway, The Netherlands, and Singapore underscoring the significance of this trade exhibition in the international maritime events calendar.
