Israel's Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. Line has launched a weekly north Europe to west Africa service, which is part of a slot-exchange agreement with Hapag-Lloyd, enabling Zim's customers to use MOL's African Rainbow (ARN) between north Europe and west Africa in addition to the present NAF service. Effective the beginning of the week, ZIM will offer its customers a two strings’s service: Amsterdam - Hamburg - Antwerp - Dakar - Tin Can Island - Tema - Abidjan - San Pedro - Amsterdam Antwerp – Thamesport – Dakar – Tema - Lagos (Tin Can Island) – Abidjan – Vigo - Antwerp The service is operated with three MOL ships, with an average container capacity of 2,022 TEUs. Zim currently offers three routes for African trades: NAF - north Europe and West Africa by a two-string service.
MAF - Mediterranean and west Africa, including transshipment from Americas to west Africa via Tarragona.
EAS - Mediterranean, east and South Africa, connecting American cargo to East Africa and South Africa via Zim's Mediterranean hub.
