In order to provide customers with optimum service and unique port coverage between Asia and Europe, to connect Vietnam to the world with the fastest and most reliable services, CMA CGM is launching the new direct weekly service FAL 3 ( French Asia Line loop 3) from Cái Mép port to North European ports. The FAL 3 will call SP-PSA deep sea terminal located in Cai Mep Thi Vai river – which is 80 km south of Ho Chi Minh City.
CMA CGM OTELLO voyage FM302W - a 8,488 TEU vessel - will be the 1st calling on November 9th 2010.
This Service deploys 10 vessels with a capacity from 8.488 TEU, 9.415 TEU and 9.658 TEU and serves the full range of port in North Europe, as well as Malta to connect to service to NAF and other Mediterranean destinations
FAL 3 will improve remarkably the transit time from Ho Chi Minh, Haiphong, Da Nang, Qui Nhon to Northern Europe, including UK main ports, Scandinavia, Baltic and also North Africa and East Mediterranean area.
Cargo from Haiphong, Da Nang, Qui Nhon ports will be transshipped in Cai Mep by feeder with safe and reliable connection with FAL3.
CMA CGM is also extending its service by proving a dedicated daily barging service from Ho Chi Minh City’s ICD (Phuoc Long and Binh Duong) to SP-PSA terminal. The barge charges will be applied based on container type. This will allow CMA CGM to issue and deliver the Bill of Lading as soon as containers to be Shipped on Board the barge and before waiting the departure of the mother vessel from Cai Mep.
Containers can also be trucked directly to the terminal in Cai Mep and the closing time at the SP PSA gate is 11h00 am every Tuesday.
