Germany's Hamburg Süd will reconfigure, as from mid December, its North Europe-South Mediterranean Service (NESM). In a press release issued by Associated Maritime Agencies Ltd, Hamburg Süd port agents in Israel, the company noted that:" NESM will be operated with five units with capacities ranging from 2,500 to 2,700 TEU. The new rotation is: Ashdod – Haifa - Mersin – Ashdod – Alexandria – Felixstowe – Antwerp – Hamburg – Tangiers – Alexandria - Ashdod. First sailing of the reconfigured rotation will be M/V LORRAINE 049, departing Felixstowe on December 11." Mr. Yoram Hoffman, director general of Associated Maritime Agencies Ltd. added that the new service configuration provides for comprehensive port coverage and fast transit times from and to North Europe. For the first time the service will offer three calls at Israeli ports.
