Hapag-Lloyd to raise transatlantic rates

Hapag-Lloyd said it will raise rates on shipments between North America to Europe on April 1.

The increases are $240 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot container in both directions between all parts of the United States and Canada (including goods from U.S. origins moving through Canadian ports) and all parts of Europe. Between Mexico and Europe, the increases are $160 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot container.
