Taiwanese ocean carrier Evergreen Line and Middle East-based Simatech Shipping will launch a joint container service connecting key ports in the Indian subcontinent and China.
The service is slated to begin in early January 2011.
The China-India Express 2 service will operate with three vessels of around 2,600 TEUs capacity.
The port rotation will be Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva (Jawaharlal Nehru), Karachi, Colombo, Port Kelang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, and back to Xingang.
The first westbound sailing on the CIX2 is scheduled to depart Xingang Jan. 6, arriving Nhava Sheva Jan. 24.
