American Airlines Cargo has started direct services between Shanghai and Los Angeles, and Budapest/New York.
The Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier said it’s also resuming seasonal service between Dublin and Chicago.
“This exciting new service between the U.S. and three important world capitals serves to further strengthen our global network, opening new opportunities for customers,” said Dave Brooks, American’s cargo president, in a statement. “In addition, our network alliances in each of these regions will open a vast new array of destinations beyond the gateway for our customers in Europe and Asia.”
The airline said the new route would allow it to support customers in the shipping of various commodities, including electronics from China, auto parts from Hungary and pharmaceuticals from Ireland, making important connections throughout the United States and Latin America.
