Qatar to boost freighter fleet

UAE based Qatar Airways says it intends to expand its airfreight fleet from five to about 15 aircraft by 2015.   The airline, which is working through a plan to take a 33 per cent stake in European cargo carrier Cargolux, also could convert 15 (or more) of its existing 30-plane Airbus A330 fleet into freighters by 2015, depending on freighter demand.   The Doha-based carrier wants to become one of the world's major cargo players.     Aircargo Asia Pacific
