Cargolux is launching two new freighter services connecting the U.S. with Australia and the west coast of Africa.
The U.S.-Australia service, starting October 19, is one of the European all-cargo carrier’s longest routings, with a total of 75 block hours and ten sectors. Flight CV 8923 will leave Cargolux’s Luxembourg home hub in the evening, arriving in Hong Kong on Thursday and then flying on to New York and Chicago.
The flight will then cross the Pacific, arriving in Sydney on Saturday night before in Los Angeles on the afternoon of the same day [local time] and then flying on to Chicago. The flight then returns to Luxembourg on Sunday.
The new U.S.-West Africa direct service will launch on Saturday, October 22, with flight CV 7306 departing Luxembourg for Singapore and Hong Kong on Sunday. The service then connects to Chicago on the same day.
The flight will arrive in New York and Houston on Monday and then fly across the Atlantic, landing in Lagos, Nigeria, early Tuesday morning. The flight will continue on to Accra, Ghana, before completing its final leg to Luxembourg on the same day.
