Air Cargo Germany is launching twice-weekly 747-400 freighter service between Germany to South Korea and flights between Hong Kong to Paraguay.
ACG expects its year-end traffic to be up 50 percent to 140,000 metric tons from 2010. Operating out of the Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, the airline began operations in 2009 and has since launched service to Armenia, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kenya, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Sudan.
The Korea service will operate on a direct route to Seoul Incheon International Airport. The weekly service from Hong Kong to Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, stops in Sharjah and Lagos, Nigeria, before crossing the Atlantic.
The flight will stop in Buenos Aires or Santiago on the return trip to Hong Kong. A stop in Lima will be added to the service at the end of the month.
The company said it has seen relatively weak demand and low rates this year out of Asia. With an average load factor of about 80 percent, ACG expects to reach about $317 million in revenue this year.
