TURKEY saw air cargo increase 11.8 per cent in September to 266,000 tonnes year on year, rising to 1.9 million tons year to date, reports Ankara-based Anadolu Agency.
Turkey's general directorate of State Airports Authority said flight traffic was up a record 11 per cent to 122,500 aircraft movements year on year.
This brought a 13.7 per cent September increase in passengers with a 15.5 per cent rise in domestic flights to 64,000 while international flights went up 8.9 per cent to 58,000.
During the first nine months of the year, 115 million passengers were processed through Turkish airports, up 13.7 per cent year on year.
