The liner carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. has increased the round voyage time of two South America services.
Its' Europe/ECSA String 1 weekly loop, now operated with eight ships averaging 5,784 TEUs, has an increased round voyage time from 49 days to 56 days. Its weekly U.S. East Coast/WCSA (via Freeport, Bahamas, and Panama) loop, now operated with eight ships averaging 4,145 TEUs, has also increased round voyage time from 49 days to 56 days.
CSAV, Libra, Maersk Line and Safmarine take slots on the Europe/ECSA service, but MSC does not share any space on the loop from North America to WCSA.
The rotation of MSC's Europe/ECSA String 1 is now Antwerp, Rotterdam, Tilbury, Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Navegantes, Santos, Sepetiba, and Antwerp. It is one of two loops operated by MSC in the trade.
The rotation of MSC's single ECNA/WCSA loop is now Philadelphia, New York, Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville, Freeport (Bahamas), Cristobal, Balboa, Callao, Arica, Coronel, Valparaiso, Balboa, Cristobal, Freeport (Bahamas), and Philadelphia.
