Maersk Line will launch a container service between the Middle East and West Mediterranean, starting at the end of this month.
The new ME2 service replaces the Danish carrier’s ME1 service covering the Middle East and West Africa trades.
The ME2 port coverage will be:
Westbound: Jebel Ali, Salalah, Jeddah, Port Tangiers, Algeciras, Valencia and Barcelona.
Eastbound: Port Tangiers, Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Jeddah, Salalah and Jebel Ali.
The first westbound vessel sailing will be the Maersk Dauphin, scheduled to depart from Jebel Ali on Feb. 26. The first eastbound sailing will also be the Maersk Dauphin, departing from Port Tangiers on March 11.
