Lufthansa continues its policy to increase flights t from Tel Aviv to Germany. As from November 1st 2012 the company will operate, subject to the German Government approval, two weekly flights from Tel Aviv to Dusseldorf (Germany). The new service will increase the number of weekly flights operated by Lufthansa from Germany to Israel to 23. Düsseldorf is the capital city of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and centre of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region. The airline offers non-stop flights to 58 destinations across Europe and North America. Mr. Carsten Schaeffer the airline’s Vice President for sales and services for Southeast Europe, Africa and Middle East noted in a press release that Lufthansa has strong belief in the potential of the Israeli market and is proud to further develop air services between the two countries for the sole benefit of bilateral trade, culture and tourism". Lufthansa will operate the service on Sundays and Thursdays with Airbus A320 (168 seats- Business/Economy). Flights will depart Ben Gurion Airport at mid-day and arrive Dusseldorf at 18:00. Flights from Dusseldorf will départ at 07:30 and 08:15 and land at Ben Gurion Airport around 13:00.
