There could be 10-14 additional daily flights between India and Singapore as a result of talks between the two governments.
At the moment, Singapore Airlines (SIA), its subsidiary Silk Air and Tiger Airways fly from Singapore to India with about 190 weekly flights between the two destinations.
As part of the talks to boost services, SIA sought permission to operate the Airbus 380, but was rebuffed.
If Tiger Airways is picked as the only airline to operate all the additional flights, it could operate 14 additional flights a week using its 180-seat equipment.
For SIA, the increase in weekly flights would be about 10 because it uses larger planes.
